Pilcher Pre-mix Concrete is a well known local business that has been operating in the Bowen, Collinsville and Whitsunday area for 50 years. Started by brothers Claud and Noel Pilcher in 1968, the company is now entering its fourth generation.
After purchasing a small batch plant and truck from another company based at the old Bowen slipway, it was added to the Pilcher Brothers business to complement their existing hardware store, building department, joinery and glazing departments which we acquired throughout the 1940’s and 1950’s and are all still in operation today. The Batch Plant was stationed in Dalrymple street right up until 2000 when we relocated our rapidly expanding business to 79 Reynolds Street where we are still situated today.
The addition of several new trucks, loaders and plant over the last 15 years combined with the automation and Quality control measures we have added to our operation, ensured our plant production and quality were always unrivalled by our competitors.
Over the years and generations, our Pre-Mix Concrete business has grown remarkably, and as technology and products have changed during that time, we have been at the forefront of concrete suppliers in the area in implementing new technology and ideas.
After playing such a big role in building Bowen over the last 50 years, we are excited to be a part of Bowen’s future development.
